Today (Monday, April 17, 2023), we held our second Free 1-Hr Nordic Walking session at the Playstead Parking next to the Andover Senior Center. It was a Typical New England Day, a slightly chilly 48F with a very slight drizzle.  We did not expect a lot of participants.  

  It always feels good to be alive and Nordic Walking.  We had One Star Participant. Andover's very own Birder of the Century, Mrs. Evelyn Retelle . What an amazing Woman!!!  I could swear she is a sprightly 65yr old.  She was out there with Denise, walking up and down the Playstead parking lot, learning to Nordic Walk.  Evelyn leads a group of Avid Bird watchers every Friday, at various locations in Andover. In case you did not know... Evelyn is a Townie.  Al and her started Retelle Tree Corporation many many years ago. It is one of the more reputable tree services in town. It is family owned and is now run by Evelyn's grandson, Riki.  

  We always encourage participants to sign up for the 1-on-1 sessions to get the full benefit of the instructions.  Now that spring is here, we will have more events and classes for folks that want to get outdoors. Please check www.nordicwalkma.com frequently, for event postings.
