It was a great Hike, beginning at the North-East Section of the Ward Reservation. The trail starts at the back side of Brightview Senior Living.  It meanders alongside a decently steep hill, eventually reaching Elephant Rock.  This part of the Trail is actually Conservation Land in North Andover and is maintained by Friends of North Andover Trails (also referred to as FONAT, see https://map.fonat.org/?destination=ward). We eventually took the Vetter Trail to the Blue Dot Trail, to the Middle Trail and back to the original trail to make a round-trip vigorous Nordic-Walk of about 1.76 miles in about 90mins (See Included Trail picture).

The four of us started the hike @8am.  It was a clear, chilly and crisp New-England Fall morning in the low 50F’s. The views from Elephant Rock were spectacular as always.  The Fall colors were not quite as vivid but it always brings me tremendous peace to look out at this gorgeous 3rd rock from the Sun. The trail was a bit wet and mucky at spots but nothing that the group could not tackle with the Nordic-Walking Poles.

There were great contemplative conversations and we all got back to our vehicles all refreshed. Knowing that we had exercised our Minds and Bodies and were all ready to tackle this Day, Week, Month and Year.
