Denise and I continue to hike atleast 2 times a week.  Mostly the local reservations (Harold Parker, Ward, AVIS). Last to last weekend we were in the White Mountains (at SubSig, SubSig.org).  I must admit, each time I go there, I get goose-bumps when I see myself as a micro human-ant among the Majestic Mountains.  Such pristine beauty. We are lucky to still have our freedoms, to be able to freely hike these majestic mountains, when we wish.  I took numerous dips in the clear, refreshing waters of the Saco River.  Chilly as heck but refreshing nevertheless.  We hiked Mt. Crawford one day and Mt. Pierce the next.  Yes, the Black Flies came out to say hello.  I have never seen a bunch that were so very excited to see us. We shared our blood meal with them :). A shout out to JeanC, a leader that has managed to set the Food and Hospitality bar toooooooo high for any other leader to follow.

Denise still gets calls thru this website, once or twice a month.  Mostly folks that want to get active again. It is encouraging and continues to be an inspiration to meet new friends.
